Today in homeroom we did did a slide on a slide show for what we liked for 5th grade and what we are excited about for next year for he end of the year slideshow. In social studies we followed up on the revolutionary war with the Treaty Of Paris. In writing we did different types of perspectives with the Continental Army and The British Army. In science we watched a Bill Nye on the skin and the brain while others finished their document on their reflection from the squid dissection. In math we reviewed on what we learned on the first half of the year.
Today in homeroom we did IXL. In social studies we talked about the battle of Sara toga again. In writing we talked about different types of perspectives. In science we got prepared for what will happen for the squid dissection. After lunch we did calender and then went into Mrs. Pittenger's room to watch a video of someone dissecting a squid. We then went to cafeteria and started to dissect our squid.
Today right away we got our lunches, if we brought one and went on a bus to the Kentwood High school to compete against other elementary's! We had many fun activities such as: 200 meter run, 400 meter run, agility run, and more! We then played a game of tug-o-war and then came back to school on the bus.
Today in homeroom we did a math warm up. In social studies we talked about the Continental Army and The British Army. In writing we finished up on our posters because tomorrow's presentation day! In science we talked about the digestive system and took a quiz on the Circulatory and Digestive system. In math we did volume. Don't forget to say Happy Birthday to Mrs. Pittenger!

In science we continued on the circulatory system. After lunch we went to the library and talked to KDL employees about the summer reading program and we got to meet Ka In math we calculated volume in rectangular prisms.
Today in homeroom we did our let's practice that was volume= length times width times height and checked homework. In social studies we continued to talk about the revolutionary war. In writing we continued on our topic project tri-fold posters and Miss. Langois's class took SRI test. In science we talked about the circulatory system. In the afternoon we did our finishing touches on our capes in Mr. Thompson's class while Miss. Lenau's class made their capes. After we did that we went to the gym for a quick assembly and then we went to walk for the Relay For Life outside.

In writing most people got done with up to 5 free choices and started their tri- fold. In science we had a quiz on the nervous system and on the respiratory system. In math we who ever had math yesterday go to discovery Ed and the students who had Discovery Ed

In writing we continued our free choices and if we were done we helped other people to get there things done. In science we talked about the respiratory system and we watched a brain pop video. In math we some students had Discovery Ed while other student learned about volume.

In social studies we reviewed on the first continental congress, second continental congress, and the first shots of the revolutionary war. In writing we had to do a writing assessment about caring, either you could write about how have cared about someone, about how someone has cared about you, or what caring is to you and once we were done we read until everyone was done then started on our free choice writings for our topic. In science we had a test on the skeletal and muscular system. In math we talked about volume of prisms.
